Blues für Vollmond und Kojote, Coyote Blue - so funny and full of skewed humor. Christopher Moore is very likely to become one of my favourite authors.
I could not resist and bought it. Someone asked me, what you need a tablet pc for and all I could answer was: 'need is propably not the right term!'. It is just nifty, that's all.
It comes with Android 1.5, has 128MB Ram, a 600MHz CPU, 2GB Nandflash built in and a 7" resistive touch screen. The price was 160 $. You get all applications that are available for android at the android market, which are tons and tons of them. Some are just created for smaller devices (phones), so you can not use the whole 7'' screen, but most cope fine.
The device is nice and solid. In order to see something on the screen, you need to be inside the house and away from the sun, otherwise you can't even tell if it is switched on or not. I think this is the curse of all touchscreens, the same with my X1. It is pretty fast and stable and the battery lasts sufficiently. I read about the predecessor of the APAD and it seemed to have had a problem with the battery time. This seems to be fixed. Wireless works great, the camera is a bit blurry but usable. The power supply unit makes an annoying humming noise when it is pluged in.
Very nice tool for a quick usage of the internet, when you do not want to boot up the notebook. Just check your mails, update facebook, check the weather etc.
