New Model Army came to Bremen (Aladin) and I went to see them.

They came to introduce their new album on the 'Today is a Good Day' tour. What can I say: it was fun.The atmosphere was boiling and they had fun playing!

I hardly ever missed a concert, but during the last ones you always had the feeling that they did not like what they are doing very much any more. The albums before lacked the old spirit, the music and the lyrics seemed either experimental or kind of resigned, both I did not like very much.

I kind of understand that you become sick of playing the same songs over and over again for centuries, but now they seemed to have come to an understanding about their identity. The concert (more than two hours) was a perfect mixture between old stuff and the new album. And by listening to the songs again, you became aware that they are still as actual as they have been 15 or 20 years ago.

After they came back on stage for the second round of bonus songs, Justins voice just would not do any more, otherwise they might have gone on all night.

A nice new album and one of their best concerts! Maybe all they needed was a world-crisis to give them back their fire.
